A rare vintage rattan chair by Danish maker Robert Wengler, often regarded as the father of modern Danish wicker furniture. Handcrafted in Copenhagen in the early 20th century, this piece reflects the elegance and craftsmanship that made Wengler’s work highly sought after.

The chair has a woven rattan seat, an open backrest, and a sturdy frame with gentle curves. Its lightweight yet durable construction captures the timeless quality of Scandinavian design. 

Still bearing the original maker’s tag — R. Wengler, 7. Amagertorv 7, Copenhagen — this is not only a functional piece but also a part of Danish design history.

Condition: Good. Wear is consistent with age and use, showing signs of aging. At one joint of the backrest there is an internal break, making the back less firm. The surrounding rattan strands remain intact, so the backrest does not break, but care is advised when using the chair. The damage is not visable.
