Product Details
A Dutch 18th century rectangular giltwood Louis XVI mirror. The mirror has a basswood frame surrounded by a pearl rim with decoration of bay leaves and berries. On the top it has a medallion in 'Verre églomisé' with a silhouette portrait in east-Indian ink and watercolor. The mercury glass is slightly ocidated.
The mirror was made in the Netherlands around 1780 at the end of the VOC era (1602-1800, United East India Company).
