Herman Hartwich (American, 1853-1920)
Painter. He received his first instructions in drawing and painting from his father. Studied at the Royal academy of Munich, and received a medal there. He studied under professors Diez and Loeffz. His specialities are figures, landscapes, portraits and animals.
